Fighting With Wire ready to rock Glasgowbury
‘We’ve never been more excited" says the rock group from Derry
Fighting With Wire are ready to make their mark on this years Glasgowbury festival. The Derry trio are headlining Glasgowbury this year, and they are thrilled about making a comeback after being forced to pull out of last years slot to begin work on their second album Bones Of The Twilight.
Frontman Cahir said "we’re extremely excited about Saturday – because this is our comeback, and to do it on Glasgowbury’s big birthday is just something else.”
The punk rock band are embarking on an Irish tour in September/October and a UK tour in November to coincide with the release of a single from the new album.
The band are looking forward to putting on a real rock show on Saturday. “We’ll be giving people a taste of the new album but we’ll still be playing the older stuff that everybody knows. It’ll be a chance for people to hear where we were and where we’re going." said Cahir.
Glasgowbury 2010 takes place this Saturday, July 24 and a number of tickets are still on sale. For more information on Glasgowbury, visit
