FIFA film dives badly at US box office
United Passions makes less than $1000 in first weekend
The world’s under-fire footballing governance body, FIFA has suffered another setback with the film based on the story of the organisation bringing in less than a thousand dollars in its first weekend in the US. Americans have never really been into soccer but the producers would surely have been hoping for more than this pathetic showing.
The film has been absolutely panned for it’s re-writing of certain events and messainic portrayal of ex-FIFA president Sepp Blather. Of the £20m budget for the movie £17m was put up by FIFA themselves so it’s lucky they seem to have other ways making money.
