Festival Voices - mischa and the bear: "Irish festivals are small enough that when you’re walking around, you’ll actually bump into your mates, or people you know"
Dublin-based alt-pop duo Misha And The Bearlook ahead to this year's festival season
mischa and the bear
We actually haven’t played a gig at all yet: Forbidden Fruit was the first gig we booked this year! We’ve never been, and the line-up looks really cool. I want to see Bassvictim, and I’ve heard horsegiirL is really good. I know Curtisy’s playing as well, and I’m really excited to see him play live. Irish festivals like All Together Now are small enough that when you’re walking around, you’ll actually bump into your mates, or people you know. All your friends are playing, and all these artists you’ve always wanted to see as well! When I did my first festival, I didn’t really know things like that existed in Ireland.
• mischa and the bear play the RTÉ 2FM Rising Stage at Forbidden Fruit on Saturday, May 30.
