Family
Two years after we first got our virtual mitts on the colossal Chariot, The Cast Of Cheers produce ‘Family’, the logical next step on their destined path towards world domination and, more importantly, becoming Sting’s favourite new band. As if a Police-sized chorus isn’t enough (is “I’m a leader of the family-hee-hee” the most irresistible line of the year?), there’s a whole lot of erratic guitarplay to enjoy, anchored with typical ease by Kev Curran’s razor-sharp percussion. Two minutes and 19 seconds of pure fun, that swiftly become four minutes and 38 seconds of pure fun, that swiftly become six minutes and… well, you get the idea.
