Falling
Fresh from topping the BBC Sound of 2013 poll, guitar-toting sister act Haim have kicked everything up a notch; the danceability, the ping-ponging electronics, the funk in their basslines, the Annie Lennox-esque drama in their vocals and the general glamour and gloss of their genre-hopping sound. ‘Falling’ is not only the best track the ‘80s-loving trio have released to date, it’s one of the sharpest, freshest tunes we’ve heard this year, and possibly the first ever nu-disco song to boast a music video set in a forest.
