Goodtime John launches debut LP Four Ways Out Of Town with a double of cool gigs
Deceptively quiet Americana complicater Goodtime John launches his debut album Brought Four Ways Out of Town this weekend with two quite special gigs.
First is an in-store in Dublin’s Road Records (Fade Street, off George’s Street) on Thursday, May 15th (tonight) at 7.30, where he’ll be accompanied by frequent co-conspirator Glenjamin (who, when he is not busy having a Good Time, is also a member of Connect 4 Orchestra and The Redneck Manifesto).
And next is the album’s official launch on Saturday May 18th, at a special daytime gig in that great home of amazing daytime gigs, Whelans. Doors are at 1.30pm, the first band is on at 2 and speaking of first bands John will be supported by The Dudley Corporation (in deep disguise as a posh acoustic band for the afternoon) and The Last Post, who themselves are expecting their second album in June.
Four Ways Out Of Town is on Volta Sounds.
