Everything's Easy
Hippy-dippy cack!
Listening to Girlyman’s Everything’s Easy is a bit like having to endure a week at a hippy commune full of elderly, unwashed dudes who still think James Taylor is “where it’s at.” Everything about the record is so nice (in a way that’d be worthy of Daniel O’Donnell). The lyrics invoke images of “easy bake ovens” and “throwing your shoes over the wire” and the music just reeks of a safe and sanitised middle of the road view of the world. All three members of Girlyman perform vocal duties and depressingly all three are very average singers so there’s nothing to write home about on that front either. Not for me!
