Energy to burn, baby, burn
Farewell, not-so-sweet Dreamworks: Ash ink US deal with Kinetic (home of Timo Maas, Paul Oakenfold & South)
Having bid a none too fond farewell last year to DreamWorks, Ash have signed a long-term American deal with Kinetic Records.
The label – whose roster includes such prime movers as South, Timo Maas and Paul Oakenfold – are giving Free All Angels a Stateside release in June, with the band embarking on a lengthy support tour.
"The deal has been coming together for the past two or three months," says Mushroom International's Mirelle Davis. "Kinetic seem to be a like-minded company to us – they are committed and care about Ash and they have a great set-up on this record."
The quartet also made radio history last week when the BBC's new digital station, 6 Music, signed on with 'Burn Baby Burn'.
