Eminem feat. Nate Ruess - Headlights
Marshall Mathers III mines his rapidly dwindling well of inspiration for new single ‘Headlights’ and the track sees the rapper attempt to recreate the success of ‘Stan’ by splicing rage-filled rhymes with mellow melodies. Fun’s Nate Ruess lends his vocals to the subpar tune, and lyrically it’s once again a case of Eminem sticking the boot into his dear old mum. “My house was Vietnam” he recalls at one point on this po-faced number. By the time the song ends, you have to wonder how long the 41-year-old is going to continue milking this tired “youth gone wild” schtick.
