Elvis Costello for Sligo Live
He's playing his only Irish gig of the year in October.
Elvis Costello has confirmed what we’re told will be his only Irish appearance of the year.
It’s taking place on October 29 as part of Sligo Live, the five-day folk, roots and indie splurge which has been wowing the west since 2004.
Tickets are €40 and go on sale on Friday April 15.
The solo performance will find him dipping into a back catalogue that spans five decades and includes such gems as ‘Oliver’s Army’, ‘Good Year For The Roses’, ‘Pump It Up’ and ‘Alison’.
April 1 saw him getting up on stage in Madison Square Garden with The Strokes – a meeting of great musical minds, which has found its way on to YouTube.
