Elvis Costello adds Belfast date + working on Dylan project
Having previously confirmed an October 16 visit to Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Elvis Costello has announced he’ll be travelling up the following day to Belfast for another solo show in The Waterfront.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday April 2.
Elvis is also joining T Bone Burnett, Marcus Mumford and My Morning Jacket’s Jim James in recording an album of Basement Tapes-era Bob Dylan songs that he never quite got round to finishing.
“These are not B-level Dylan lyrics,” T-Bone tells the LA Times. “They're lyrics he just never got round to finishing.”
The sessions are being filmed by director Sam Jones for a simultaneous album/documentary release in the autumn.
