Electric Picnic Live Review: The 1975
A swaggering Matty Healy, and his The 1975 counterparts took to the stage at Stradbally's Electric Arena, and despite referring to Electric Picnic as Dublin multiple times, the charismatic front man had the crowd in the palm of his hand.
Sipping his wine from a glass, because he's "a gentleman", Healy was intent on putting on a lively show. Festival favourites, 'Chocolate' and 'Girls', were preceded by outbursts of "let's fucking dance!", and the crowd happily obliged.
With an impressive string of festivals behind them, the Manchester four-piece are well rehearsed in the art of seducing a crowd, and as they worked their way through 'Heart Out', 'Robbers' and concluded with 'Sex', the hysterical fans were enough to indicate that Matty and the rest of The 1975, have a bright future ahead of them.
