Three days to go until it's Picnic time and one of the big Main Stage draws on the Friday evening are sure to be Foals. You can catch them roll out tunes from their sublime latest album Holy Fire and across their catalogue at 9pm, but if you want some wit and wisdom from their frontman right now, you've come to the right place.
The ever-opinionated Yannis Philippakis sat down with Hot Press' Craig Fitzpatrick in March, mere hours before jumping off an Olympia Theatre balcony. On the agenda – his delight that guitar bands are out of favour, the Swiss Family Robinson method of album-making and how he'd like to start a family, but it might result in him "smashing the place up."
