ELECTRIC PICNIC: Alma rocks the Rankin's Wood stage
There's no one as cool and energetic as Alma - her Electric Picnic set is proof.
When Alma took the Rankin's Wood stage for her last gig of the summer, the crowd was ready to go crazy. She performed with an energy and coolness one could only dream of. That girl's got power!
And that power is not only in her voice - her raspy vocals are absolutely incredible - but the Finnish singer ran across the stage, jumping up and down while the crowd was bouncing right with her. It was as energetic as it possibly could be.
By the time Alma got to one of her biggest songs, the Martin Solveig collaboration 'All Stars', the audience was already going ballistic, singing along to the lyrics. "I don't know what that was, but that was something crazy", she notes after she finishes the song. Indeed, that was insane.
It's easy to see why the crowd was going crazy: just listen to songs like 'Dye My Hair' or 'Cowboy'. These beats are infinitely danceable. You just can't help bopping along to them.
As it was her last show for the summer, Alma has every right to celebrate. She does that with a Guinness. "I fucking love that beer!", she professes her love for Ireland's black gold. There's only one thing left to say: Sláinte, Alma! And thank you for giving us the energy for another day of Electric Picnic frenzy.
