Electric Picnic 2017 to include new sci-fi inspired area Transmission
Inspired by the unreal “glo-parties” of last year’s Electric Picnic, 2017 will now include a whole new Picnic venue, Transmission. The new space will be part collaborative art venue and part outdoor club, as the Vinyl Frontier DJ Booth, created by artists Ali Kemal and Gabrielle Brickle out of recycled materials, will showcase vinyl DJs and live acts. The new location also promises to include Human Pinball, Moon Walk, Alien Spider and a Live Art Stall, but the standout feature will be an actual spaceship hovering above in the trees. Not only does it light up and act as an intergalactic disco ball, it also can film concert-goers below and broadcast it on the hovering screens.
Transmission is just one of the many worlds hosted by the upcoming Electric Picnic. For more, visit electricpicnic.ie.
