Kelvin Andrews' debut artist album will dispel any bad lasting memories of his lame cover version of ‘Strings Of Life’, because the veteran producer has succeeded in condensing the last three decades of electronic music onto one disc. He does a smooth deep techno version of Kraftwerk’s ‘Robots’, uses the hypnotic drums of Japan’s ‘Visions Of China’ as a backing for the sweet soul vocals of ‘Basement City’ and the breaking electro of ‘Never Touch That Switch’ boasts a breathy duet that outdoes Massive Attack’s slow burn delivery.
