Ed Sheeran hits 500 million streams on Spotify

Our favourite English superstar, Ed Sheeran, just became the first artist ever to score 500 million streams on Spotify.
Sheeran thanked all of his fans who have listened to his songs, and who have used his music at weddings. "Chuffed to hear that Thinking Out Loud has had half a billion plays on Spotify. Being the first artist to hit that milestone is amazing," said Sheeran. "Thanks to all the people who use this as a wedding song, soundtrack to date and as a way to woo someone into a Netflix and Chill situation."
19 million people listen to the English star on Spotify each month, while his songs have been streamed approximately 2.9 billion times.
