Dublin's Odd Morris share debut EP, Cityscape the Ballet
The Dublin quartet is currently finishing up an autumn European and UK tour.
Odd Morris have shared their debut EP, Cityscape the Ballet.
The Dublin indie rock band – made up of vocalist Daragh Griffin, guitarist Kris Hassett, bassist Ciarán "Mac" McCarthy and drummer Sam Martin – first shared a sneak peak of their debut collection of tracks earlier this year with 'The Once Was Enough.'
The single is featured on their new EP alongside 'Rose Like Smoke,' 'You Tried,' 'Silhouette' and 'Cityscape the Ballet.' Together, the five tracks create an introspective and vulnerable EP.
"We didn't want to shy away from the feelings of heartbreak and insecurity, even if it's difficult to be so open," the band said about their songs. The EP, which explores the desire to escape when everyday emotions become too overwhelming, features discussions about romance, generational behaviours, isolation and more.
"Everyone knows how it feels to feel estranged, everyone has their dark days," said Odd Morris. "Part of the process is feeling like you're the only one, but we're all more connected than we think."
The band are currently on their UK and EU tour. They will perform at London Calling Festival in Amsterdam this Friday, October 29, and in Glasgow, Manchester, London, and Brighton next week.
