Dublin to host Leonard Cohen fan convention
Fans from all over the world will be flocking to Dublin from August 7 -10 for the Leonard Cohen Festival, an annual gathering of the Lennie clans that has previously taken place in New York, Berlin, Edmonton and Krakow.
Liberty Hall will be the venue for an exciting programme of music, film and literature. Highlights include an exclusive screening of footage from the 79-year-old’s 2013 tour, which is being supplied by his manager Ed Sanders.
John MacKenna, Dermot Bolger, Gerard Smyth, The Poetry Divas and Leif Bodnarchuk, who worked with Cohen for five years, take part in a Spoken Word afternoon while Ali & the Thieves, Patricia O’Callaghan, Gerry Tully, The Van Diemens and Tir na nÓg supply the music.
