Dublin-based DJ Lúnasa shares EP in aid of Trans Harm Reduction
The SAOR EP is available to stream and download below.
Having already established herself as a notable force on the Irish club circuit, Dublin-based DJ and producer Lúnasa has shared her debut EP – a two-track project featuring new tracks 'Higher' and 'OMG!?' All proceeds from the SAOR EP are going to Trans Harm Reduction.
A volunteer-run, grassroots organisation, Trans Harm Reduction supports trans people in Ireland and Scotland, "to manage the risks associated with self-medicating." Their work includes providing safe injection supplies, a helpful GPs list, a peer support network and projects like 'GP Action Project' and 'HRT Source Testing.'
A captivatingly boundary-pushing and genre-defying electronic project, the SAOR EP showcases Lúnasa's passion for drum rhythms from around the world, as well as the bold energy her sets are famed for.
"Releasing my first EP definitely feels exciting, I’ve only been producing for about 6 months, but I’m proud of how it turned out," Lúnasa comments. "It’s definitely time to release this into the world, and I’m delighted to donate all profits to Trans Harm Reduction.
"The lack of adequate transgender healthcare in Ireland deeply concerns me, and Trans Harm Reduction does vital work to provide a solution in this harrowing landscape, so I really encourage people to give what they can."
Lúnasa is set to open for international duo S-Candalo tomorrow, September 30, at Yamamori Tengu in Dublin. Stay tuned for more dates in Dublin and Belfast over the months ahead...
