Dreams
The hit single '2 Times' is still proving as utterly infectious as the 'flu, and if you're a fan, you'll be happy to know that this album contains more of the same.
The hit single '2 Times' is still proving as utterly infectious as the 'flu, and if you're a fan, you'll be happy to know that this album contains more of the same. Ann Lee's voice is delightful, light and pop-tastic, and if the songs aren't exactly going to change you life, at least they're a lot less offensive than much of the dross that seeps out of daytime radio.
Included on this release is a cover version of Anita Ward's old dico stalwart 'Ring My Bell' which is excellent stuff, and the other tracks are consistently good. On the down side, while Ann Lee has the makings of a stunning garage house diva, her eyes remain fixed on chart sucesses. It's tantalising to imagine what she could do with a number like 'Closer Than Close' by Rosie Gaines, or Alison Limerick's 'Where Love Lives'.
Ah, dreams.
