‘Dominoes’ is hardly a big-budget affair (just compare it with the Paul Epworth-produced Big Pink song of the same name), but then, Elayne Harrington, aka Temper-Mental MissElayneous hardy needs bells and whistles; the Dublin MC has searing lyrics, a thick, boisterous accent and some old-school hip hop beats on her side. Production on ‘Dominoes’ comes courtesy of local DJ Barry Krishna, who rather brilliantly turns Harrington’s razor sharp flow into a percussive instrument. The track is currently available for free download from the 24-year-old’s Bandcamp page, where you’ll also find her feather-ruffling four-track EP, Proletarian Restitution.
