Doctor Who Is A Punk Rocker!
Well, sort of! Jodie Whittaker appeared in the Good Vibrations Teri Holley biopic, as well as a new Stone Roses-themed film...
It turns out the new Doctor Who, Jodie Whittaker, has impeccable rock ‘n’ roll credentials!
The West Yorkshire actress played Terri Hooley’s long-suffering wife Ruth in the 2012 Good Vibrations biopic.
You can spy her at the start of the trailer, executing a very passable Belfast accent!
Shooting to A-List prominence on the back of playing Beth Latimer in Broadchurch, Whittaker went on to have a part in Spike Island, the film set against the backdrop of Stone Roses’ (in)famous 1990 show near Widnes.
Prior to her Belfast sojourn, she appeared in 2011’s A Thousand Kisses Deep, which borrowed its title and a poem from Leonard Cohen.
