DJ Shadow Is Dropping An Endtroducing Remix Album
We are fast approaching the 20th anniversary of the landmark LP
DJ Shadow has announced he'll be releasing a remix album of his iconic 1996 record Endtroducing.....
He has previously dropped a superb remix album of the Private Press, which had contributions from fans and little known musicians.
The anniversary LP features tracks from the likes of Hudson Mohawke, Clams Casino, and many more to be revealed.
“This year is the twentieth anniversary of Entroducing..., so curating this remix album, I wanted to provide another layer of perspective on the record and invite my current favorites and a few favorites from other eras to do remixes,” Shadow told Talkhouse Music Podcast.
The Bay-area musician praised the song from Clams Casino. “I listened to it and I loved it, but in the back of my mind I got really worried because I was thinking, 'shit did he send a demo of, like, somebody else’s track? I hope this is mine!' 'Cause I couldn’t recognize any of the elements in mine, even though there were so many things about it that seemed familiar.”
