DJ Mark McCabe joins the 98FM line-up
The dance DJ legend will present three hours of dance anthems every Saturday night, beginning this weekend.
Dance DJ Mark McCabe, best known for his cult classic ‘Maniac 2000’, is set to join the 98FM line-up every Saturday night with three hours of dancefloor hits.
Kicking off this weekend, 98FM Dance with Mark McCabe will run from 6 to 9pm, featuring dancefloor anthems from artists like Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers and Calvin Harris alongside hand-selected Dublin classics from McCabe..
“Dublin radio is where I started out,” McCabe said. “I’m so happy to be joining the team at 98FM and presenting a show playing some of the dance anthems I grew up playing in clubs around Dublin as I started out.”
Known across the country for producing one of the biggest hits in Irish music history, McCabe’s claim-to-fame, ‘Maniac 2000’, spent 10 weeks at No. 1 and has been recognized as the fifth largest selling Irish single to date.
“Mark is the voice of a generation of clubbers in Dublin, and I’m delighted to have him join 98FM,” said 98FM managing editor Pat Gill. “We’re ready to turn up the volume as Mark brings Dublin’s Good Times to a Saturday night”.
