Dermot Kennedy announces Aaron Rowe and Amble as special guests for Aviva Stadium gigs
Tickets for the July 11 gig are sold out, however, tickets for July 12 are still available.
Dermot Kennedy has announced that Aaron Rowe and Amble will be joining him as special guests for his two nights in Dublin's Aviva Stadium on July 11 and 12.
The shows will mark his biggest Dublin headliners to date and will make him the first Irish solo artist to play two shows at the venue.
"I’m so so happy to announce that Amble and Aaron Rowe will be joining me for my two shows at the Aviva Stadium this year," Kennedy wrote on his Instagram. "Two amazing examples of Irish talent and songwriting – I'm so proud.
"These are going to be very special nights."
Following a breakthrough year, singer-songwriter Aaron Rowe has made a Glastonbury debut, played a mainstage slot at Electric Picnic, and supported artists such as Lewis Capaldi.
Folk band Amble will also join Kennedy on tour. Amble's debut album, Reverie, topped the Irish Album Chart across four non-consecutive weeks. Last year, Amble joined Hozier's Unreal Unearth Tour, opening in cities across the US and Canada.
This week, Dermot Kennedy announced his third album, The Weight of the Woods, out March 27 via Island Records.
To coincide with the news, Kennedy has shared the album's lead single, 'Funeral', alongside a new music video, directed by Charlie Sarsfield and starring Charlie Rowe.
The Weight of the Woods is described as "the organic cultural intersection" between Ireland and Nashville – the latter being home to the album's producer, Gabe Simon, known for his work with the likes of Noah Kahan and Lana Del Rey.
Tickets for the July 11 gig are sold out, however, tickets for July 12 are still available and can be purchased here.
