Delivering the Woods
Ronnie Wood’s December 8th show at Vicar St. promises to be one mother of a jam session
Ronnie Wood’s December 8th show at Vicar St. promises to be one mother of a jam session with Slash, Jay Kay and Andrea Corr all lined up for guest slots.
The news was divulged to Hot Press last week by the great man himself who gushed: “I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about a gig – it’s going to be a fucking cracker.”
Woody also revealed that he’s recorded a new song with Rod Stewart, ‘You Strum, I’ll Sing’, and expects to spend most of 2002 on the road celebrating the Rolling Stones’ 40th birthday.
“Whether it’s feasible or not I don’t know,” he says, “but Ireland is definitely on our ‘want to play’ list. Especially as we weren’t able to come here last time round.”
