Day One kicks off at Electric Picnic

It's officially September and that can mean only one thing - it's Electric Picnic time! Day One has officially kicked off, with punters arriving in their droves to Stradbally for the three-day event. Tonight sees live performances from DJ Shadow, Interpol, Santigold, PJ Harvey and The Rapture, to name but a few.

Here at the Hot Press Chatroom, we're pretty excited - today we'll welcome The Lost Brothers, The Riptide Movement, Gavin Friday The Hot Sprockets, Gavin Friday and The Charlatans in for a chinwag, and maybe a song or two!
