Day one down at Forbidden Fruit!
Beardyman, Yo La Tengo and The Flaming Lips all performed live at the Dublin event
The Forbidden Fruit festival in Dublin's IMMA grounds has started off with a bang!
Insanely talented beatbox artist Beardyman rocked the Underground tent with another impressive off-the-cuff set. The Londoner (Darren Foreman to his mammy) threw in all kinds of weird and wonderful songs to the mix - some Busta Rhymes, Kings Of Leon, and even a touching rendition of that Father Ted classic 'My Lovely Horse'!
Meanwhile, revelers sat in the sunshine enjoying a cider or three as Wild Beasts performed on the Main Stage. As the sun set, headliners The Flaming Lips arrived onstage for a show that featured streamers, balloons and a host of fans onstage dressed as (what else?) scarecrows, tin men and Dorothys! Wayne Coyne & Co. finished off the night with the lovely 'Do You Realise?'.
We can't wait for tomorrow, as Battles, Aphex Twin, Caribou and dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip are all set to do their thang live.
