David Bowie guitarist announces Dublin date
Gerry Leonard is bringing Spooky Ghost to Whelan's in May
David Bowie’s trusted lieutenant Gerry Leonard brings his Spooky Ghost outfit to Whelan’s, Dublin on May 3. Tickets are €15.
A native of Clontarf, Leonard served his apprenticeship with Dublin outfits the Spies, Above The Thunderclouds and Hinterland before upping sticks and moving to New York where he fell in with Suzanne Vega.
Part of the Bowie inner circle for 15 years, he performed on the Heathen, Reality and The Next Day albums, acted as music director whenever the Jones boy played live, and also worked with Rufus Wainwright.
