Van Morrison adds Waterfront Studio date to lineup of Belfast shows
The performance takes place ahead of Van Morrison's 80th birthday weekend
Van Morrison has added an intimate concert at Belfast’s Waterfront Studio on August 28, ahead of a string of hometown performances to mark his 80th birthday.
The show joins a packed schedule that includes gigs at Mandela Hall on August 26 and 27, followed by two "celebration concerts” at the Waterfront Hall on August 30 and 31. The final concerts will also feature a performance by his daughter, Shana Morrison.

Van Morrison's career has spanned across seven decades.
He first rose to fame with the band Them in 1964, before launching his solo career in 1967 with the hit single 'Brown Eyed Girl' and debut album Blowin' Your Mind!.
With 45 albums to his name, Morrison remains one of Ireland's most celebrated musicians. His latest album, Remembering Now, released earlier this year, was praised by Hot Press as a collection of “top-notch new creations.”
Last month, he shared the stage with Neil Young and Cat Stevens at Hyde Park, and also performed as a special guest at Neil Young’s show at Malahide Castle.
Tickets for the newly announced Waterfront Studio concert go on sale this Friday at 10 am, available here.
