Daryl Hall to work with Laura Izibor
One half of Hall & Oates, American singer-songwriter Daryl Hall has expressed an interest in working with Dublin songstress Laura Izibor.
AOR legend Daryl Hall has exclusively revealed to Hotpress.com that he wants to work with rising Dublin star Laura Izibor.
Talking down the trans-Atlantic blower from his residence in Kittery, Maine, Hall says he’d like Izibor to guest on his new internet show, Live From Daryl's House, which has already featured the likes of KT Tunstall, Gym Class Heroes and his old mucker John Oates.
“I heard her recently and thought, ‘Oh my God, that girl has such an amazing voice!’ What age is she?’”
20 next birthday.
“Still in her teens? That’s incredible! The biggest compliment I can pay Laura is that had she been around during the ‘60s she’d have fitted right in with the Motown and Philly scenes. There’s real soul there.”
There’s more good news for Izibor, with another of her tracks, ‘Mmm’, featuring on the new Disney smash, Step Up 2 The Streets and ‘Shine’ soundtracking the new CBS TV show, Welcome To The Captain and Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, which is about to return for a fourth season.
