Damien Rice teases new music

Damien Rice has teased fans with some new music after he posted a video on social media.

Last month, Damien Rice announced a new tour called Wood Water Wind which entails the Celbridge man travelling to and from each location of the tour via a sailboat.

The video, which he posted on Instagram and Twitter, shows Rice alone on a sailboat travelling through the Caribbean. Amidst the sounds of the ocean is a piece of music, sung by Rice, which he says is “a new song, coming soon”.

It has been four years since his last album Favourite Faded Fantasy was released and this is the first piece of new music since.

His critically acclaimed debut album O will be released on vinyl tomorrow.
