Damien Rice confirms new UK tour
Having sold-out four UK Dates in March, Damien Rice has confirmed a return trip to Blighty in October
It takes him to the Arena, Newcastle (October 1); NIA, Birmingham (2); SECC, Glasgow (4); Arena, Nottingham (5); Wembley Arena, London (6); The Pavillion, Plymouth (8); BIC, Bournemouth (9); MEN, Manchester (11); and Arena, Cardiff (12).
It’s a big step-up for Rice, with the capacity of the MEN, for instance, a bank manager pleasing 22,500.
Following the Wednesday January 24 presale to members of the Damien Rice maling list, general tickets go on sale at 9am on January 25.
As for the lack of Irish dates, Hot Press understands there’s a good chance of that being rectified before the summer. Stay tuned to hotpress.com for details.
