Daisy Ridley Addresses Tomb Raider Rumours
A reboot of Tomb Raider is on the cards and Daisy Ridley is first in line.
It's been 16 years since Angelina Jolie donned the khaki ensemble of the grave-digging archeologist Lara Croft and now it may be the turn of Daisy Ridley to continue Croft's legacy.
Rumours began circulating at the beginning of March that Ridley was in talks to become Lara Croft and the internet went on a binge of 'Tomb Rey-der' puns. Ridley has finally addressed those rumours speaking to Empire magazine.
"I was not told how to answer this question!" Ridley admitted, "There have been conversations and everyone seems to be very excited about the idea. But meetings don't mean you're going to do a film."
Ridley is of Star Wars fame and this would be another huge franchise with her leading the pack. Angelina Jolie's Lara Croft was a tremendous box-office success with the two films making a combined $430 million.
With her performance as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens going down a storm, her young fresh talent could be exactly the face that the Tomb Raider reboot will need.
