Daft as Punk for Dublin date
The Daft Punk tribute act are set to rock the Workman's Club this April's Fools Day
If you read that title wrong you may believe this to be an April's Fools joke but alas, it is not the real Daft Punk but the closest thing to it - acclaimed tribute act Daft as Punk.
With the real french duo still on hiatus Daft Punk those seeking their robo-electro fix can check out Daft as Punk when they play live at The Workman’s Club, Dublin on Friday April 1.
Aiming to fill the void left by the reclusive French pair Daft as Punk are the world’s first proper Daft Punk tribute act and strive to create an experience that is as close to the real thing as possible. This means a set filled with amazing live visuals and effects, as well as custom-made costumes and even the duo’s replica helmets are custom designed and chrome-plated by the very establishment that finished the authentic Daft Punk helmets in LA! How's that for authenticity?
The gig itself is a late one with Daft as Punk on stage from midnight until 2am and tickets priced €10 are on sale now from Ticketmaster and on the door on the night.
