Countdown to Canalaphonic Festival To Kick Off On Culture Night
Music, literature and family fun festivities will bustle alongside Dublin's grand canal as Rathmines and Portobello get ready for Canalaphonic 2017.
Come 22nd of September, Canalophonic festival is set to commence with some culture night activities, followed by two days down on the water with a range of artistic display and entertainment throughout the weekend.
Attendants can expect an array of activities with a kids zone in St. Mary's College, literary events in Rathmines Library and pop up music and spoken word performances in local coffee shops.
Music fans will be happy to hear this year's festival features 14 stages hosting over 50 acts as the main 'Making Waves' Stage will be in Whelan's.
Venues will include Copan, Blackbird, The Bowery, Mother Reilly's and the Bernard Shaw before the festival winds down again on Sunday evening back to the Portobello Harbour with final gigs in Whelans that night.
Be sure to keep an eye on the Canalophonic facebook page or visit http://canalaphonic.com/ for the latest news and details.
