Countdown on to Dublin Dance Festival
It's kicking off next week...
Some of the world's leading dance artists and choreographers will visit the capital for the ninth Dublin Dance Festival, taking place from May 14 - 26. The event has a reputation for drawing the very best talent - among those to have graced its stage since 2002 are Merce Cunningham, Mark Morris, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Jérôme Bel and William Forsythe.
There is also a commitment to reflecting the vibrancy of the domestic dance scene. Irish choreographers premiere major new work as the event, which, in addition, offers extensive networking opportunities.
Workshops, discussions, symposia, film screenings and other family-friendly events are built around the programme to create new opportunities for audience members to encounter dance and to explore the art form more deeply.
