Cormac Begley announces Vicar Street show
Tickets are on sale now.
West Kerry traditional musician Cormac Begley has announced a new gig, set to take place at Vicar Street, Dublin on September 12.
Begley is known for his concertina work across multiple projects, including collaborations with Liam Ó Maonlaí, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, and others. His debut self-titled solo album received critical acclaim, earning a nomination for the RTÉ Folk Awards Instrumentalist of the Year in 2018.
Elsewhere, Begley is the founder of Airt, a residential school in West-Kerry, and the award winning Tunes in the Church live concert series in Galway.
In 2024, he played a series of secret location outdoor concerts from his campervan, the ‘Beauty’, travelling across Ireland. Last June saw Begley play an album launch gig for Into the Loam with Liam O'Connor, also at Vicar Street. He also features on Dermot Kennedy's upcoming album The Weight of the Woods, due out March 27.
The Vicar Street gig precedes his show at Cork Opera House on September 13.
