Some of the most promising lyrical and production talents in the country have joined forces on 'Crease' – a hard-hitting new track from Confamm Charlito, Skripteh, Smilez, AO, Jah1 and Smilez.
The success of the single – which hit No.1 on Ireland's iTunes chart over the weekend – is also reflection of the county-spanning nature of the Irish scene, with Tallaght, Monkstown Farm, Drogheda, and New Ross all represented on the track.
With the combined energy of each artist's fanbase, it has the potential to the cross into the Official Irish Charts later this week, following its release on Friday, May 27.
"We hit # in the official iTunes charts for Ireland, ahead of all those big names," acclaimed Wexford rapper Skripteh wrote on Facebook, in response to the news. "Madness! Let's keep it up there..."
The track follows Skripteh's 21 mixtape – produced by New Machine, and released earlier this year.
Tallaght's Smilez has also been making major waves, following 2021's 'Outside' with Youngiz, which has clocked up over 735,000 views on YouTube, and a further 561,000 Spotify streams.
Drogheda-based artist AO also appears on 'Crease', building on the success of his 2021 track 'Play Dirty', while rising star Jah1 continues to mark himself as a serious one-to-watch.
"Blessed to be a part of this one," Jah1 said on Instagram. "Big up everyone involved."
