Conditions Remixed
The Australian U2 get a remix treatment
Essentially a release purely for the fans, Conditions Remixed is, as you might expect, a remix album where the likes of Rollo & Sister Bliss, Peter, Bjorn and John and Fool’s Gold remake the Australian outfit’s debut in their own image. As you can imagine, there are moments on the album that really work (for example the haunting ‘Rest’ courtesy of Three Trapped Tigers suits the skeletal arrangement) but others are pretty predictable (Faithless duo Sister Bliss and Rollo turn in a run of the mill raved up rendition of ‘Lost Love’). As an experiment, it’s an interesting enough exercise, but it’s hardly a must-buy purchase.
Key Track: ‘Rest’
