New acts have today been announced for Ómós - A Celebration of the Music and Life of Liam O'Flynn at the National Concert Hall.
A host of acts have been added to the National Concert Hall’s Tradition Now festival as part of Ómós - a celebration of the music and life of Liam O’Flynn on Sunday October 28. John Doyle, Paddy Glackin, Andy Irvine, Dónal Lunny, Michael McGoldrick, Gay McKeon and Christy Moore will all perform in homage to a musician with whom they all shared a close bond.
The concert will also include performances by Steve Cooney, Sean Keane, Neil Martin, , Rod McVey, Matt Molloy, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Olivia O'Leary with David Power and Tríona Marshall and The Brendan Voyage with RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra with Mark Redmond, pipes and David Brophy, conductor.
The concert is part of the Tradition Now festival which takes place at the National Concert Hall from 23rd - 28th October, in partnership with the Arts Council. The festival takes a unique look at the evolution of traditional music in a fast-moving Ireland, providing a platform for the most forward-thinking artists playing today.
