Snow Patrol have been installed as the 6/4 favourites to win this year’s Choice Music Prize with their Eyes Open set.
“Snow Patrol are the obvious favourites for the success they’ve had home and away,” says Paddy Power spokesperson Sharon McHugh. “However, Julie Feeney surprised everyone last year when the judges opted for her over BellX1 so it’s all to sing for at the moment!”
The other Paddy Power odds are:
Director: We Thrive On Big Cities (Atlantic) - 6/1
The Divine Comedy: Victory For The Comic Muse (Parlophone) - 10/1
Duke Special: Songs From The Deep Forest (V2) - 7/1
The Immediate: In Towers & Clouds (Fantastic Plastic) - 3/1
David Kitt: Not Fade Away (Dublin Records) - 16/1
Messiah J & The Expert: Now This I Have To Hear (Inaudible) - 16/1
Fionn Regan: The End Of History (Heffa) - 8/1
Republic Of Loose: Aaagh! - 20/1 (Loaded Dice)
Si Schroeder: Coping Mechanisms (Trust Me I’m A Thief) - 14/1
Snow Patrol: Eyes Open (Polydor) - 6/4
The €10,000 Prize will be awarded on February 28 in Vicar St, Dublin with a goodly number of the nominees appearing live on the night.
The night is open to the public, and tickets for the event are available on Ticketmaster.
