Childish Gambino announces new album Bando Stone & The New World
The album is the musician's 6th studio LP and will be released on July 19.
California native Childish Gambino, other wise known as Donald Glover has announced his 6th studio album Bando Stone & The New World which will be brought to listeners on July 19 via RCA Records.
Bando Stone & The New World will be the last LP to be released under the imprint of Childish Gambino, who first came to light in 2008 with the critically acclaimed LP Illin-Noise!
Gambino is set to debut the album at Little Island in NYC on July 6 in what will be a "exclusive interactive experience."
He recently released the debut single 'Lithonia' from the upcoming LP and surprised audiences with an unannounced album drop in May earlier this year.
Atavista, Gambino's fifth studio album, was described on X as the "finished version" of his 2020 record 3.15.20, with the addition of the new track 'Little Foot Big Foot,' which came alongside a music video.
Speaking of music videos, yesterday, the acclaimed rapper teased fans with a trailer for his upcoming film, which shares the name of his approaching LP.
The trailer—which is available on the artist's YouTube channel and premiered at the 2024 BET Awards—stars Gambino as the famous musician Bando Stone, who finds himself alone in a world devoid of human life until he encounters a mother and her child.
The upcoming film will feature Jessica Allain and will be produced by Hiro Murai, a long-time collaborator of Gambino.
In addition to the LP and motion picture, Gambino will take to the global stage on the U.S. leg of his tour on August 11 in Oklahoma City.
The musician will take to Europe and the U.K. later in October, where he will finish up his voyage in Dublin on December 5 in the 3Arena.
Tickets for the Irish show are priced at €135.00 each and are available here.
