Childish Gambino releases trailer for upcoming film Bando Stone and the New World

Childish Gambino has posted a 2-minute trailer for his upcoming film, Bando Stone and the New World on his YouTube channel.

Directed by and starring the multi-talented Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover), the movie will also feature an original soundtrack by the artist.

The film follows famous musician Bando Stone, who suddenly finds himself alone in a world devoid of human life- until he comes across a mother and her child.

The trio band together, as Stone tries to help the mother (played by Jessica Allain) protect herself and her child from a series of supernatural events.

The award-winning rapper also announced that the first song off the soundtrack, titled ‘Lithonia’ will be released July 2, fresh on the heels of his fifth studio album, Atavista.

The film will be produced by Hiro Murai, who has collaborated with Gambino on other projects, such as FX’s Atlanta.

The two have received widespread critical acclaim, winning an award for the ‘This is America’ music video at the 2019 Grammys, as well as several other awards for their work on Atlanta
