Cheers (Drink To That)
For all the hacking scandals and political blight that the first half of 2011 brought, I still can't think of a more depressing day than the one when producers stopped sampling James Brown and started sampling Avril Lavigne. Some say fueling one lifeless chart-topper with the music of another is a valid pop progression, or at least, good business sense. I happen to agree wholeheartedly, but only because, upon Ri-Ri's suggestion, I have had four Jamesons during my listen of 'Cheers (Drink To That)' and am now rather sauced. Hic.
