Chart: James Arthur Still Tops the Singles Chart
It's as you were at the top of the Irish singles charts as X Factor winner James Arthur holds on to top spot...
Another Christmas has come and gone but it's still the same story at the top of the singles charts. James Arthur – the latest product of Simon Cowell's money-making machine – picks up 2013 where he left off in 2012: at No.1 with 'Impossible'.
Denver-based folk group Lumineers are up two places to No. 2 with 'Hey Ho'. Look out for a full interview with lead man Wesley Schultz in the next Hot Press, out Thursday January 17.
Just behind them at No.3 is Will.i.am & Britney Spears with 'Scream And Shout'. Bruno Mars with 'Locked Out Of Heaven' and PSY's world-beating 'Gangham Style' make up the top five.
The Script featuring Will.i.am are the highest Irish entry at No.14 with 'Hall of Fame'.
The biggest mover however is American sensation Carly Rae Jepsen who, after 35 weeks on the chart, has jumped 16 places to No.27.
