Charlie Parr announces Irish tour
The alt. bluesman will be giving a live airing to his Roustabout album.
Dublin’s Independent Records label has snapped up Duluth, Minnesota bluesman Charlie Parr’s Roustabout album, which gets a release here on February 6.
Reckoned by Low’s Alan Sparhawk to be “one of the greatest musicians and human beings I know”, Parr will also be taking his 12-string and lived-in rasp of a voice to the Town Hall Theatre, Galway (February 9 + Mundy); Moka Live, Castlebar (10 + Mundy); Balor Theatre, Ballybofey (11 + Mundy); The Stables, Mullingar (12); McGinnity’s, Cavan Town (13); Skelley’s, Ballymahon (14); Pine Lodge, Myrtleville (15); and Crane Lane, Cork (16 & 17).
