Charli XCX 'Break The Rules' - Track Review

Inspired by Swedish punk bands such as Snuffed By The Yakuza, the latest from this rising pop starlet is snottier than a flu-riddled nursery school. Full of faux rebellion, the song isn’t quite as strong as her effervescent break-through ‘Boom Clap.’ But it’s still a nice mainstream rocker with an ace “Na-Na-Na” hook threaded through the distorted guitars. Consider us very intrigued to hear her up-coming second record Sucker.
