Celebrate the true blues at the Rory Gallagher Music Festival
The festival dedicated to the memory of legendary Rory Gallagher brings everyone together.
Rory Gallagher Festival takes place from 30 May until 2 June in Ballyshannon Donegal, which is along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Line-up: Glen Hughes Band, Band of Friends (featuring ex-Rory bassist, Gerry McAvoy), Bernie Marsden Band, Wishbone Ash, Grainne Duffy & Her Band, Pat McManus Band, Johnny Gallagher & the Boxtie Band, Gerry Jablonski & His Band
Dedicated to the memory of legendary Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher, this festival - located in the place of Gallagher's birth - is a celebration of the blues and rock sounds that influenced the man himself. Events are free too. Rarely will you find a town or an event more dedicated to the music. The festival attracts 10,000 people each year - nearly five times the regular population of the town.
Hot Press Picks: One of this year's highlights is an appearance by the Glen Hughes Band. Glen himself is a real legend.
